The Unaware

When something bad happens who do we blame? Who is it that we look to and say it is because of you? When that person does do something wrong, how quick are we to jump to judgement of their abilities?

The only thing worse than having someone not do what they are required is having someone yelling and judging that person (the one who didn't do what was required) without asking why they have not done it. Nothing in this world is absolutely random. Nothing in this world is without consequence and nothing in this world is independant. Everything depends on something and something on everything.

When looking outside and seeing a homeless person, what do you think of? How this person has got no money, is useless, does not have a job and should work? But take it from a different angle, how did this person become homeless?

Looking at a kid that looks like he/she hasn't cleaned themself properly. Are they really dirty? Or is it because they cannot afford clean water to bathe in and only has enough for drinking?

To be completely unaware of the possibilities of an event or to limit yourself to one possibility is the biggest problem of things becoming sour. Especially in relationships (will not go into that now). Look beyond what you see, even use your imagination, question your harsh views because you never know what may be just below the surface.

See the boy in the corner?
At school, staring outside and didn't do his homework.
He was talking his mother out of suicide,
and wondering if it worked.

See that girl with so much make up?
She puts it on to look pretty.
She gets bullied,
and just wants to fit in.

See that boy,
with all the raggedy clothes?
His parents have lost their jobs.
And they face many more woes.

See that girl wearing baggy clothes?
Covering herself even when it is hot.
See doesn't want anyone to see the bruises,
that her dad gives her after too many shots.

See the world around you.
See if you can find a reason to hope.
Some sort of explanation that may say,
that this person, is trying to cope.
 Is pushing through.
Is trying.
Give them a hug or a smile.
Inside, they may be dying.
